Born in Sacramento and raised in Temecula, California, Emily graduated from the University of Missouri–Kansas City in 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Political Science. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor magna cum laude from Northern Illinois University College of Law in May 2025.
During law school, Emily distinguished herself through her achievements in advocacy and scholarship. She won the championship round of the Lenny B. Mandell Moot Court Competition, earning Best Oralist honors in both the semifinal and final rounds. She was also awarded the Carl W. Cicero Scholarship in recognition of her excellence in oral advocacy. Emily competed in the National Moot Court Competition and served as an Associate Justice in NIU Law’s Moot Court Society.
Emily is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the Dekalb County Bar Association.
